At Child Protection Center, a child is given a voice.
When children have been the victim of a crime, they often have to tell their story to many individuals, like law enforcement, lawyers, social workers and more.
Child Protection Center, a Kansas City-based nonprofit, interviews children who have been abused or have witnessed violence. The interview, conducted by trained professionals, is recorded so a child only has to relive that experience once. The goal is, in part, to reduce further trauma to the child.
