A tried-and-true Thanksgiving recipe

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for family, friends, good health and great food. In addition to all the delicious calories, we recommend a walk after dinner, weather permitting, of course.

This year, in addition to serving the old standbys — turkey smothered in gravy, candied yams, and pumpkin pie — HCF is offering a healthier recipe, one that actually doesn’t require a last-minute trip to the grocery store.

We’re speaking about the key ingredients that make up a healthy community, and it’s a combination we absolutely support.

Our recipe may not have all of the flavor of a traditional Thanksgiving meal, but if you serve up this fresh approach this Thanksgiving, it will create a healthier lifestyles not only for you but for your entire community.

So, pin this to your recipe board on Pinterest and help your community incorporate these ingredients whenever possible.

From all of us at HCF, we wish you a bountiful Thanksgiving, a joyous holiday season and a healthful, Happy New Year!
