KANSAS CITY, MO – The Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City (HCF) is accepting applications to fill seven upcoming vacancies on the 2016 HCF Board of Directors.
Members of the HCF Board of Directors serve a three-year term. Directors can be re-nominated for a second three-year term. Board meetings are the second Wednesday mornings every other month at the HCF offices (2700 E. 18th Street, Kansas City, Mo. 64127). Members are also asked to serve on a commitee as well. Meeting times can be found on our website.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the City of Kansas City, Mo., and/or Cass, Jackson and Lafayette counties in Missouri or a Kansas resident, taxpayer, property or business owner.
Applicants are required to represent the HCF service region’s gender, racial, cultural, geographic and ethnic diversity. Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
- asset management and investment strategy
- public health
- health care delivery to the uninsured or underinsured
- health care advocacy
- community/neighborhood development
- philanthropic administration
- marketing/public relations
- work in the research, legal or nonprofit sectors
The Community Advisory Committee reviews applications and selects candidates for interviews. Interested applicants should review the online nomination packet for a full list of qualifications. Qualified candidates are asked to complete an online application with a current resume by Aug. 30, 2015.
