HCF to host community forums in service area

The Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City highly values listening and engaging with our community. While HCF is best known for our annual $20 million in grantmaking, we know that this funding is just one component to achieving our mission of eliminating barriers to quality health and supporting those who care for the underserved and uninsured.

We know that none of this work can be done alone. It is equally important that we partner with stakeholders and other community leaders to understand how and what others are already doing to strengthen health in our region.

That is why HCF is working with community consultant Bob Hill to conduct a series of community forums throughout our service area over the next five months. We want these forums to serve as an update for our stakeholders and the community at large on the happenings at the Foundation, and to solicit feedback on how we can partner with communities to more fully improve health.

It is our hope that these dialogues will be an opportunity to convene and connect those working together to improve health in our community. We anticipate that those who participate in the community forums will share and receive heartening news about the impressive work being done by so many caregivers in so many sectorsWe also anticipate that a broader understanding of our shared health care landscape will be achieved.

A summary report outlining what we heard throughout these conversations will be shared at the conclusion of the forums.

While registration will be available at our website in the coming weeks, you can view the dates of the planned sessions below. Please keep checking back on this page for event registration announcements. We hope to see you soon.
