In November 2009, HCF will invest $6.5 million in Safety Net grants. Eligible organizations within the HCF service area are encouraged to apply. Letters of Intent are due August 5, 2009, with full proposals due on September 2, 2009. Pre-Proposal conferences will be held on June 24 and 26 for applicants to ask questions and learn about the grant making process. Register here.
HCF Introduces New Resource for Regional Health Data
The Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City is proud to debut a new website that features health and demographic statistics for its service area. The Health Data Center of Greater Kansas City is the creation of and funded by the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City, REACH Healthcare Foundation and the Wyandotte Health Foundation, and was developed by the Kansas Health Institute. Over 800 health indicators are available from a variety of sources. Data will be updated on an annual basis. Additional indicators will be forthcoming. The website can be accessed directly at www.kchealthdata.org or by clicking on a link from the HCF website.
