Ms. Young was appointed to the board in February 2012 and became chair in January 2016. She is the founding director of the Bloch Executive Education Center at the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Mr. Powell was appointed to the board in February 2014 and became vice chair in January 2016. He is the vice president of membership and contracting at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City.

Mr. Cranshaw was appointed to the board in February 2014 and became secretary in January 2016. He recently retired as CEO of Tri-County Mental Health Services, a safety-net provider.

Ms. VanWagoner was appointed to the board in February 2015 and became treasurer in January 2016. She is a senior consultant at DeMarche Associates, Inc.

Ms. Butler was appointed to the board in February 2015. She is vice president of Children’s Mercy South & Regional Medical Practices.

Mr. Carignan was appointed to the board in April 2012. He is senior vice president and director of client relationship management in UMB Bank’s Institutional Banking Division.

Dr. Dockins was appointed to the board in April 2015. He is an assistant professor of Healthcare Leadership at Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management.

Dr. Ethirajan was appointed to the board in February 2015. He is a doctor at Midwest Cancer Care.

Mr. Flory was appointed to the board in February 2014. He is the President and CEO of ReDiscover, a nonprofit community mental health agency.

Mr. Foudree was appointed to the board in January 2016. He retired as the executive vice president of Harmon Industries, Inc.

Ms. Garrett was appointed to the board in February 2014. She is the national projects manager for the University of Missouri Kansas City’s Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network.

Mr. Heddens was appointed to the board in January 2016. He retired as an executive at Bank of America.

Ms. Herman was appointed to the board in January 2016. She is a high-risk transition care coordinator at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Mr. Land was appointed to the board in April 2012. Now retired, he is the former executive director of NAPHSIS.

Mr. Mauro was appointed to the board in January 2010. He is retired and serves on the boards of several area non-profits.

Ms. McCarther was appointed to the board in May 2009. She is an associate professor at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Education.

Judge Mesle practiced law at Lathrop & Gage for 18 years before serving on the 16th Judicial Circuit for 12 years. Judge Mesle has served on a variety of non-profit boards focused primarily on legal, educational and children’s activities.

Mr. Nunnelly was appointed to the board in February 2011. He is a health care executive and contributing planner for centers for community health, substance abuse treatment, youth development, and chronic disease management.

Mr. Rangel was appointed to the board in February 2012. He is the director of Gateway to College at Donnelly College in Kansas City, Kansas and a part-time faculty member at William Jewell College.

Ms. Riley was appointed to the board in January 2016. She is a community advocate for WellCare Health Plans.

Mr. Robinson was appointed to the board in February 2015. He retired from the Archer Daniels Midland in March 2009.

Dr. Simmons, M.D., MBA, FAAP,  was appointed to the board in January 2016. She works at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Clinics.

Mr. Stremming was appointed to the board in January 2010. He worked in various areas of the pharmaceutical industry for 30 years including basic research, clinical research, marketing and government affairs and currently serves on the board of several area non-profits.

Ms. Valponi was appointed to the board in February 2015. She is vice president of communications and marketing at the American Academy of Family Physicians.
